앵커리지 한인회는 애틀랜타에서 아시아계 미국여성인을 8명 살해당한 반 아시아 폭력에 끔찍한 충격을 받았습 니다. 사랑하는 사람을 잃은 친구, 가족, 지역 사회에 우리는 같이 슬퍼하며 위로를 전합니다.

우리는 국가, 주 및 지역 지도자들이 모든 지역 사회에 대한 인종 차별과 폭력에 대해 강하게 규탄하고 긴급한 해 결책과 조치를 취할 것을 요구합니다. 우리는 BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) 커뮤니티 특히 현 재 AAPI 커뮤니티와 함께 이 야만적 인 행동을 심각하게 받아 들일 것을 촉구합니다.

전국적으로 AAPI (아시아계 미국인 및 태평양 섬 주민) 커뮤니티에 대한 폭력이 확대됨에 따라 우리는 매일매 일무고한아시아계미국인에대한폭력사례가 오늘뉴스에얼마나더많이나타날지걱정합니다.우리는모 든 연령대의 노인, 부모 및 개인이 명백한 정당화없이 공격, 괴롭힘 및 살해를 당하는 것을 보았습니다.

The Korean American Community of Anchorage, Inc. (KACA) is horrified and shocked by the anti-Asian violence that resulted in the deaths of 8 people, 6 of them Asian American women, in Atlanta. Our hearts go out to the friends, family, and communities who have lost their loved ones. We implore our national, state, and local leaders to speak out and to take meaningful action against racism and violence against all communities. We call upon them to stand with the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) communities, especially the AAPI community at this time, to take these barbaric acts seriously. With the escalating violence against the AAPI (Asian American & Pacific Islander) community across the country, we wake up and worry how many more cases of violence against innocent Asian Americans will show up on the news. We have seen elders, parents, and individuals of all ages attacked, harassed, and killed with no apparent justification. This must stop. These victims are innocent and do not deserve to be attacked or blamed for the cause of COVID. These attacks against hard-working Americans are a cowardly display of racism, white supremacy, xenophobia, and misogyny, which tears all of us down as a nation. This is not the America that we know.KACA firmly stands against racism, violence, and hatred. Our communities must unite and empower each other to dismantle systemic racism. KACA strives to promote culture, community, and connection in our home city. We work with the Municipality, Anchorage School District, Bridge Builders, and many others to promote resourcefulness in our diversity. We believe, by building bridges and working together with partners and other communities, we can strengthen Anchorage not only as a safer place but as a more robust economy for everyone to thrive in. Diversity is strength, not weakness, that enriches us and creates opportunities for us to grow. We are all different, for God created us so. We take this moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of community support and compassion. We are stronger together, and together we can overcome evil. In love, healing and solidarity.
