Korea-Alaska Friendship Day Festival at South Anchorage High School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>2017 Korea-Alaska Friendship Day Festival held \u00a0June 24th, 2017 at 11AM\u00a0at South Anchorage High School<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony began with an invocation by Reverend Yong Kuk Chong, current President of the Alaska Korean Pastors&#8217; Association.<\/p>\n<p>Over 200 guests attended with distinguished guests from city, state, Korean War Veterans Association, FNBA, JBEAR, and the federal government joined us in this celebration of the flourishing Korea-Alaska friendship.<\/p>\n<p>Distinguished guests included but not limited to: Senator Dan Sullivan, Greg Kaplan from the Office of Senator Murkowski, Grace Janj from the Governor&#8217;s Office, Amy Coffman from the Mayor&#8217;s Office, 2017 Miss Teen Alaska Emma Broyles, Deputy Consul General Kwon, and the current President of the Korean American Community Kyu Jae Choi.<\/p>\n<p>The festival included guest performances and a luncheon of authentic Korean food.<\/p>\n<p>Performances included Classical Voice from New York and NANTA group from South Korea.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\"
